Timber windows and doors are a stunning addition to any home, providing the warmth and character of solid wood with a range of practical benefits such as durability, weather-sealing and thermal efficiency.
At Timbertherm, we specialise in delivering solid engineered timber windows and doors. We have a range of windows and doors to choose from and also specialise in bespoke requests, creating a set of timber windows or doors to perfectly match your property.
We’ve worked around much of London and the Southeast and can provide services in Bishops Stortford and it’s neighbouring areas.
When it comes to design, our goal is to understand what you’re looking for and provide you with the options to fully realise your vision. We have three main types of window to choose from: casement windows, sash windows and orangeries. From there, we offer multiple variations and features, allowing you to customise a basic template to what resonates with you. We’ll work with you to help realise this, providing different ideas following your brief and giving advice.
All of our windows come with a range of practical benefits. We use concealed security features in all of our windows and they come supplied with insurance compliant, lockable features as a standard. Our windows utilise high performing, Argon gas-filled, double glazed sealed units which improves their thermal-efficiency. We’ve also created a unique profile for our windows to make them very effective against all types of weather, braving strong winds and storms by standing in place, eliminating any rattling and movement.
We also carry out restorations on period homes. As members of the Forest Stewardship Council, we only use conservation-approved timber, working to replicate your original designs and carry out a sympathetic replacement of your period windows and doors.
As techniques have improved rapidly since when many period homes were created, we can also provide a range of enhancements, incorporating specialist glazing techniques to make your period windows more thermal-efficient. These enhancements can be completely concealed, with no visible changes to historic look of your period windows.
